About Marwen

Founded in 1987, Marwen is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating and inspiring young people to nurture their growth and build their futures through visual arts and community engagement. It has supported nearly 16,000 young people through no-cost studio arts courses, academic mentorship, and professional development programs.

Programs and Courses

• Courses and Workshops:A wide variety of free visual arts courses taught by local artists, including comic creation, 3-D printing, and filmmaking.
• Youth Pathway Programs:Includes Artward Bound, Design to Print, and Art@Work.
• Ereignisse:Hosts New Student Open Houses for registration and building tours.

Auswirkungen

Marwen serves over 1,000 young people annually, with 78% from low-income families and 88% identifying as BIPOC, representing all neighborhoods.
