If you're curious about what FurCon is, think of it as a big party where people who love animal characters from movies, cartoons, and books come together. It happens every year in San Jose, California. People come from all over to join in fun events, learn from interesting talks, and dance at night parties. The best part is that by attending, you're also helping raise money for a good cause, as the event supports a local charity each year.
FurCon is organized by a group called the Anthropomorphic Arts and Education and is a non-profit event. This means all the money raised goes to help others, thanks to over 250 amazing volunteers who make it happen. You don't have to dress up as a furry, which is someone who likes animals that act like humans, to have a good time. Everyone is welcome to come and see all the fun costumes, participate in games, and maybe even meet some new friends.
